Privacy Policy

Nerdbeak, Inc. ("Nerdbeak," "we," "us," or "our") operates Rarest using Cliqket, the technology platform behind its marketplace, accounts, listings, ranking board, checkout, messages, and related features (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information through Rarest.

1. Our role

Nerdbeak determines how personal information is used for Rarest and Cliqket accounts, marketplace operation, ranking, platform security, fraud prevention, billing, analytics, support, legal compliance, and improvement of the Services.

Sellers may also receive and use information needed to complete their transactions, such as a Buyer's name, shipping address, order details, and messages. A Seller is responsible for its own use of that information.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Name, email, username, password, avatar, profile, and contact information.
• Seller, business, tax, identity-verification, payment, and payout information.
• Payment, billing, shipping, order, offer, and checkout information.
• Listings, photos, files, condition details, shoutouts, bios, links, messages, reviews, support requests, and other content.
• Account choices and records showing when and how you accepted our Terms or acknowledged this Policy.

Information collected automatically

• Device, browser, IP address, and approximate location.
• Log data, referring pages, pages viewed, searches, clicks, likes, shares, feature activity, online presence where enabled, and timestamps.
• Listing views, ranking activity, placement payments, orders, conversion, Seller activity, and other operational metrics.
• Cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies.

Information from other sources

We may receive information from Sellers, Buyers, payment and authentication providers, analytics and infrastructure providers, integration partners, public sources, and other users.

3. Payments and financial information

Stripe or another supported provider processes payments and payouts. We do not store full payment-card numbers or bank-account credentials on our servers. Providers may collect financial, identity, tax, fraud-prevention, and payout information under their own policies. We may receive transaction details, account status, payout status, and limited identifying information needed to operate the Services.

4. How we use information

We use personal information to:

• Provide, operate, secure, support, and improve Rarest and Cliqket.
• Create and manage accounts, Seller access, listings, rankings, shoutouts, orders, messages, and permissions.
• Process placement payments, merchandise purchases, offers, payouts, refunds, disputes, taxes, and fraud checks.
• Publish and calculate All-time, Today, and category rankings.
• Send authentication, transaction, placement, account, order, safety, and support communications.
• Provide marketing communications where permitted; you can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
• Measure traffic, listing views, clicks, likes, shares, marketplace health, conversion, product quality, and usage.
• Detect and respond to fraud, abuse, prohibited content, security incidents, policy violations, and legal requests.
• Provide ranking, recommendation, moderation, support, and other automated features.

5. Public and shared information

Rarest is a public marketplace. Listings, photos, Seller profiles, usernames, rank, category, placement spend, sold status, shoutout avatar, bio, link, view count, likes, shares, and other marketplace activity may be public. Do not publish information you do not want visible in that context.

Information needed to complete a transaction may be shared with the Buyer, Seller, payment provider, shipping provider, or support personnel. This can include names, shipping addresses, order details, tracking information, and transaction messages.

6. Automated processing

Cliqket and Rarest use automated systems to organize, rank, recommend, monitor, moderate, communicate, support, and protect marketplace workflows. These systems may process account, content, listing, transaction, performance, and communication data to perform that work.

Model and infrastructure providers may process information on our behalf to deliver these features. Do not submit sensitive information unless it is needed and you have the right to provide it.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, checkout, preferences, analytics, presence, and performance. Browser controls can limit cookies, but doing so may break account, checkout, Seller, or other core features.

Because there is no uniform standard for browser Do Not Track signals, the Services do not currently respond to them. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to:

• Marketplace participants: Sellers, Buyers, admins, and other users when needed to provide a feature or complete a transaction.
• Service providers: Payment, hosting, storage, analytics, authentication, email, messaging, support, shipping, security, and model providers that help us deliver the Services.
• Legal and safety recipients: Courts, regulators, law enforcement, payment networks, or others when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and platform integrity.
• Business transaction recipients: Parties involved in a financing, merger, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, authentication, access controls, monitoring, and security review. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, secure the platform, comply with legal, tax, accounting, and payment obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Transaction, placement, payout, tax, audit, acceptance, compliance, and fraud-prevention records may be kept longer where required or reasonably necessary.

11. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information. You may unsubscribe from marketing messages while continuing to receive transactional or account notices.

12. United States state privacy disclosures

Residents of states with applicable privacy laws may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain personal information and to appeal certain decisions. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not discriminate against a person for exercising an applicable privacy right.

13. International users

The Services are operated from the United States. Information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your location.

14. Children

Rarest accounts are intended for adults. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can review and delete it where required.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Services or our practices change. We will post the revised version and date and provide additional notice where required by law.
